Derg Joinery was founded in 2015 by Damian Balfry and Greg Carey with the aim of manufacturing durable, certified joinery products for local and export markets. We specialise in bespoke windows, doors, fire-rated screens as well as staircases and internal mouldings.

We manufacture all of our products at our workshop in Killaloe, Co. Clare. All our external products are CE marked, tested and certified.

 

PRODUCTS

All our hardwoods are specially selected from sustainable sources. Only the most durable timber is chosen to cope with our challenging climate.

All of our products come fully finished to a full range of colours that can be matched to most systems using the most advanced joinery coatings system available today.

We are an approved Accoya manufacturer, Our Accoya windows come with a 50 year guranee against rot from the manufacturer, giving you peace of mind for many years into the future.

We manufacture all of our products at our facility in Killaloe, Co. Clare. All of our external products are delivered fully finished

We source all of our timber from sustainable sources. We use only the finest plantation grown hardwoods and Accoya

Borrisokane Community College

Mullarkey Pedersen Architects. 2016

Derg Joinery windows and doors were fitted as part of the refurbishment of a protected 19th century workhouse. Bespoke casement profiles sympathetic to existing were used

Pichet Restaurant, Dublin 2015

Derg Joinery supplied external windows and internal mouldings for this restaurant retrofit. Tired looking aluminium screens were replaced with hardwood sash windows, completely revitalising the look of the restaurant both internally and externally

The Chambers Bar, Mullingar

Hanley Taite Design Partnership 2015

We Manufactured, supplied and fitted bespoke arched windows and doors for this project. A great bar in the middle of Mullingar

Griffith Barracks Multidenominational School. OPW. 2017

We manufactured, supplied and fitted sash windows, casement windows, internal and external doors to the 19th century guard house of Griffith Barracks, which was refurbished as part of the works in constructing the new multidenominational school in the grounds of the barracks

Mount Carmel Nursing Home Chapel, Roscrea

We manufactured large hardwood windows and doors for this project. Heavy profiles were required as stained glass had to be incorporated inside the a-rated double glazing

Johnstown Castle Visitor Centre, Wexford

Derg Joinery manufactured and fitted large glazed screens and cladding for the new visitor’s centre at Johnstown Castle, Wexford. Sapele, with a light oak finish was used with high performance glazing to achieve NZEB status on this distinct, contemporary structure

Brewery Quarter, Cork

Our sash windows and large rooflights were chosen on this challenging project at the former Beamish & Crawford counting house in Cork. We also supplied moudings and replacement sashes to match existing for the distinctive tudor style building

Valentia Observatory, Kerry

Derg joinery were selected to manufacture slim double glazed replicas of the original windows on the 19th century observatory building.
